They had a number of options for dining, could book any tour we wanted, and provided free bus service to town. Kellie, Dave and Tom on a vacation in Australia in 2000. This was the first part of the “Eyes in the Dark” tour. We were taken out to the Bond Cattle Station just outside of Alice Springs. We were given a tour of the old homestead buildings. We see the original houses and upgrades over the years, some of the out buildings and the school room. School for the most part is done by correspondence up to a certain age followed by boarding school until high school graduation. What was once mostly done by radio now happens mostly via computer.

Kellie, Dave and Tom on a vacation in Australia in 2000. This was part of our last few days in Australia in Cairns. This a Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda. It houses a collection of free flying native butterfly in the large enclosure as well as a huge collection of mounted specimens. The colors are incredible. Some of the butterflys had huge wingspans, about a foot. The video of the free flyers isn’t that great but I did the best I could.
